Crispy on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside! These are the PERFECT waffles!

NOTE: The waffles will benefit if you have all the ingredients at room temperature

  • All purpose flour icon

    Method

  • 1. When you begin to make the batter, turn on the waffle iron to get it nice and hot
  • 2. Add all purpose flour, baking soda and baking powder to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 3. Whisk thoroughly until mixture comes together
  • 4. Add salted butter to a clean glass measuring cup
  • 5. Melt in microwave - 1 min
  • 6. Add egg to the glass measuring cup and whisk
  • 7. Mix cultured lowfat buttermilk and vanilla extract to the wet ingredients
  • 8. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredient's depression and stir rapidly with a wooden spoon until well combined
  • 9. Using the wooden spoon, push 1/4 of the batter onto your waffle iron plates
  • 10. Bake until steam stops rising from the waffle iron or your personal degree of doneness is achieved
