  2. Add warm milk
  3. Add granulated sugar
  4. Add ground cardamom
  5. Add active dried yeast
  6. Mix briefly until combined
  7. Let rest - 10 min
  8. Add egg
  9. Mix until combined

  11. Add salt
  12. Mix until dough forms - paddle attachment
  13. Knead - 2 min, dough hook
  14. Get a clean small bowl
  15. Add softened unsalted butter
  16. Transfer butter to dough bit by bit while mixing
  17. Transfer dough to medium bowl and cover
  18. Let rise until doubled - 30 min
  19. Punch down and cover
  20. Let rise until doubled - 30 min
  21. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  22. Turn out large mixing bowl on lightly-floured surface
  23. Roll out into logs
  24. Plait large mixing bowl on baking sheet and cover
  25. Let rise until springy to touch - 30 min
  26. Pre-heat - 190°C
  27. Get a clean small bowl
  28. Add ground cardamom
  29. Add heavy cream
  30. Add egg yolk
  31. Whisk together
  32. Brush until coated
  33. Bake until golden brown - 20 min, 190°C
  34. Serve
