A perfect stew for a cold day made with meat and veggies you can probably find at your local farmer's market. The main ingredients are pork shoulder, carrots, sweet potatoes and kale. This recipe is paleo and gluten-free.

Step preview

  1. Add sweet potato, carrot and kale to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Add pork shoulder to a clean stockpot
  3. Brown lightly - medium heat
  4. Add sea salt, ground turmeric and black pepper to the stockpot
  5. Transfer vegetables to stockpot
  6. Stir until lightly browned
  7. Add chicken stock to the stockpot
  8. Cover - medium heat
  9. Boil gently until thick while stirring occasionally - 45 min
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley
