Step preview

  1. Add all purpose flour, salt, baking soda, cornstarch, poppy seeds and orange zest to a clean medium bowl
  2. Mix until combined
  3. Add unsalted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and orange extract to a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Beat together until smooth
  5. Add egg and egg yolk to a clean small bowl
  6. Transfer eggs to large mixing bowl
  7. Mix until well combined
  8. Add dry ingredients to large mixing bowl gradually
  9. Shape into a ball
  10. Wrap with plastic wrap
  11. Chill in fridge - 3 hr
  12. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  13. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  14. Roll out large mixing bowl until 1/4" thick
  15. Cut out
  16. Transfer content of large mixing bowl to baking sheet
  17. Chill large mixing bowl in freezer - 5 min
  18. Bake cookies until browned at edges - 15 min, 175°C
  19. Cool - approx 2 min
  20. Transfer onto cooling rack until completely cool
  21. Add white chocolate to a clean small glass bowl
  22. Melt in microwave - low heat
  23. Dip half of cookies into chocolate mixture
  24. Transfer cookies onto cooling rack until set
