These traditional thin, French pancakes can be served with either sweet or savory fillings or toppings - the possibilities are endless!

    Method

  • 1. Add unsalted butter to a clean small glass bowl
  • 2. Melt in microwave on low heat then set aside
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, salt and granulated sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Whisk until combined
  • 5. Add egg to the large mixing bowl
  • 6. Whisk melted butter into the flour mixture
  • 7. Add milk to the batter gradually while mixing
  • 8. Strain batter with sieve
  • 9. Chill in fridge - approx 30 min
  • 10. Pre-heat frying pan
  • 11. Ladle some batter into the pan and fry approx 3 min on one side - medium-high heat
  • 12. Flip and fry on the other side - approx 1 min
  • 13. Garnish with berries, honey or any sweet or savory toppings
