    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C / 390°F
  • 2. In a clean medium bowl mix together shortening, butter, sugar and egg
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and mix until the dough forms
  • 4. Form into balls
  • 5. Add sugar and ground cinnamon to a clean small bowl
  • 6. Roll dough balls in small bowl thoroughly until coated
  • 7. Transfer dough balls to baking sheet
  • 8. Bake until light golden - 8 min, 200°C / 390°F
  • 9. Let cool on round wire rack and serve
