The crust is more dense than your typical light and flaky quiche crust. That would be because it’s missing the light and fluffy ingredient…butter. Right now the only way I can eat asparagus is if it’s sauteed...

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C / 350°F
  • 2. Add whole wheat flour, oat flour, ground flaxseed, egg, olive oil, honey and water to a clean medium bowl
  • 3. Mix until dough forms
  • 4. Grease a clean baking dish and press dough in
  • 5. Bake and continue - 15 min, 175°C / 350°F
  • 6. Whisk together cheddar cheese, egg, green onion, greek yogurt, salt and black pepper in a clean large mixing bowl
  • 7. Pouring the filling onto the baked base
  • 8. Place asparagus on top
  • 9. Bake until just set - 50 min
  • 10. Serve warm or cold
