This citrusy twist on a traditional pecan pie is my favorite thing to make during the holidays. This pie is great with a variety of different nuts, however, pecan and walnut are my favorite.

    10ml (2 tsp)

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Add basic pie crust to a clean pie dish
  3. Add butter to a clean saucepan
  4. Melt - low heat
  5. Add dark brown sugar to the saucepan
  6. Stir until smooth and turn off heat
  7. Add corn syrup, salt, orange curaçao and orange to the filling
  8. Mix together
  9. Add egg and pecan pieces to the filling
  10. Mix together
  11. Transfer filling to pie dish
  12. Bake until set - 1 hr, 160°C
