This rustic tart is the perfect treat. I recommend eating it warm with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce and a scoop of a vanilla bean ice cream.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  2. Line a clean work surface with parchment paper
  3. Roll out basic pie crust and almond paste onto the work surface
  4. Layer carefully
  5. Roll out until smooth
  6. Add apple to a clean cutting board
  7. Slice thinly with chef's knife
  8. Add butter to a clean small glass bowl
  9. Melt in microwave
  10. Add brown sugar and ground cinnamon to a clean small bowl
  11. Transfer content of small glass bowl to spices
  12. Mix until combined
  13. Transfer fruit to spices
  14. Toss until coated
  15. Arrange content of cutting board in pie crust
  16. Form into a rectangle
  17. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  18. Transfer pie crust to baking sheet
  19. Bake until golden brown - 35 min, 175°C
