  • Whole wheat flour icon

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  • 2. Add whole wheat flour, pastry flour, baking soda and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 3. Add buttermilk, egg and butter to a clean medium bowl and whisk
  • 4. Transfer wet ingredients to dry ingredients
  • 5. Mix until just combined
  • 6. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and flatten by hand to about 4 cm thick
  • 7. Cut
  • 8. Transfer carefully to the baking sheet
  • 9. Bake the scones for 30 min, 200°C
