  • Butter icon
    Butter350 g
  • Golden syrup icon
    Golden syrup1 tablespoon
  • Caster sugar icon
    Caster sugar225 g
  • Vanilla extract icon
    Vanilla extract1 teaspoon
  • Rolled oats icon
    Rolled oats450 g
    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C / 355°F
  • 2. Add butter, golden syrup, caster sugar and vanilla extract to a clean large saucepan
  • 3. Melt slowly - low heat
  • 4. Add rolled oats and mix well until the oats are evenly coated
  • 5. Line a clean baking dish with parchment paper
  • 6. Transfer mixture to baking dish
  • 7. Press firmly
  • 8. Bake until golden brown - approx 25 min
  • 9. Cut into squares
  • 10. Let cool
  • 11. Serve
