A classic pie, packed with apples tucked into a buttery crust. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Use your favorite double crust, or our Basic Pie Crust.
Ingredients
Apple8chopped
Lemon30 gjuice of
All purpose flour40 g
Granulated sugar180 g
Ground cinnamon1 teaspoon
Salt½ teaspoon
Unsalted butter30 gcubed
Basic pie crust1
Method
1. Pre-heat oven - 199°C
2. Grease a clean pie dish
3. Add apple, lemon and all purpose flour to a clean large mixing bowl
4. Add granulated sugar to the pie dish
5. Add ground cinnamon, salt and unsalted butter to the filling
6. Mix until combined
7. Let rest - approx 10 min
8. Roll out basic pie crust onto a clean lightly floured surface
9. Line pie dish
10. Pour filling into pie dish
11. Assemble
12. Bake - 15 min, 199°C
13. Bake until golden brown - 45 min, 160°C
14. Let cool completely
