Method
1. Make sure that all of your ingredients are measured and ready because this recipe comes together quickly
2. Pour the heavy cream into a sauce pan and add the cocoa, sugar and salt. Whisk until smooth
3. Bring mixture to boil then turn off the heat
4. Once it reaches a full boil, remove it from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir the mixture well until the chocolate has melted
5. Add whole milk and vanilla extract
6. Stir well
7. The mixture will need to chill before going into the ice cream machine. Stir it to release the heat
8. Depending on how cool it was when it went in the fridge, it could take up to 3 hours to chill enough
9. Pour carefully in ice cream maker
10. Churn in ice cream maker - approx 35 min
11. Remove
12. Transfer mixture to plastic container
13. Chill in freezer until firm - approx 3 hr
14. Serve
