There’s a pungent, distinct flavor to goat cheese. It matches well with something sweet. Any fig or blackberry is fantastic with goat cheese on a crostini. A small amount of fig will go a long way. Because goat cheese is the essential ingredient, be sure whatever sweetness is poured on top is minimal so you don't mask the flavor of the cheese.
