Step preview

  1. Pre-heat - 175°C
  2. Get a clean medium bowl
  3. Add all purpose flour
  4. Add powdered sugar
  5. Add salted butter
  6. Cut in carefully with pastry blender until small clumps form
  7. Grease a clean square pan
  8. Transfer crumbs to square pan and gently pat into pan
  9. Bake until lightly browned then set aside - 15 min, 175°C
  10. Get a clean medium bowl
  11. Add beaten egg
  12. Add all purpose flour
  13. Add granulated sugar
  14. Add lemon juice
  15. Mix thoroughly until smooth
  16. Transfer mixture to square pan
  17. Bake until golden brown and let cool - 25 min, 175°C
  18. Cut into squares
