Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  2. Add all purpose flour, powdered sugar and salted butter to a clean medium bowl
  3. Cut in carefully with pastry blender until small clumps form
  4. Grease a clean square pan
  5. Transfer crumbs to square pan and gently pat into pan
  6. Bake until lightly browned then set aside - 15 min, 175°C
  7. Add egg, all purpose flour, granulated sugar and lemon juice to a clean medium bowl
  8. Mix thoroughly until smooth
  9. Transfer mixture to square pan
  10. Bake until golden brown and let cool - 25 min, 175°C
  11. Cut into squares
