This summertime take on a classic margarita is the perfect balance of delicious and refreshing. I love to eat tons of watermelon and the moment it gets a little less crisp, I blend it up, and use it in cocktails and mocktails.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon icon
    Watermelon
    500g (about 3¼ cups)
  • Silver tequila icon
    Silver tequila
    211ml (1 cup)
  • Lime juice icon
    Lime juice
    140g (about 4¾)
  • Simple syrup icon
    Simple syrup
    41ml (2¾ tbsp)
  • Ice icon
    Ice
    as needed

Step preview

  1. Add watermelon to a clean blender jug
  2. Blend until smooth - 1 min
  3. Strain with sieve
  4. Add silver tequila, lime juice and simple syrup to a clean carafe
  5. Transfer juice to cocktail
  6. Stir well
  7. Rim 3 clean margarita glasses
  8. Fill with ice
  9. Pour cocktail into 3 margarita glasses
  10. Serve
  11. Pour content of carafe into 3 margarita glasses
