A simple day-to-day pie crust that can be used with both sweet and savory fillings. Makes enough to cover 2 single 9" dishes or 1 covered pie. Freeze or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
Ingredients
All purpose flour345 g
Salt4 g
Unsalted butter280 gcold, cubed
Water75 g
Method
1. Add all purpose flour, salt and unsalted butter to a clean large mixing bowl
2. Rub in until coarse crumbs form
3. Add water to a clean small bowl
4. Mix water into dough gradually until mixture comes together
5. Wrap dough with plastic wrap
6. Chill in fridge - approx 1 hr
