Who doesn’t love a good pasta carbonara! This is my version which I love making as it is so easy to do. This is definitely a quick midweek meal that the family will enjoy.

Step preview

  1. Add parmesan cheese to the TM5 bowl
  2. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  3. Blitz - approx 10 sec, speed 9
  4. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to small bowl then set aside
  5. Add water, olive oil and sea salt to the TM5 bowl
  6. Heat - approx 10 min, 100°C, speed 1
  7. Add ghee to a clean large saucepan
  8. Heat until sizzling
  9. Add bacon to the large saucepan
  10. Fry until lightly browned - approx 4 min
  11. Add spring onion to the large saucepan
  12. Cook - approx 3 min
  13. Reduce heat completely
  14. Add single cream, vegetable stock powder and egg to a clean medium bowl
  15. Mix
  16. Add baby spinach and fresh parsley to a clean medium bowl
  17. Add penne to the TM5 bowl
  18. Cook - approx 11 min, 100°C, reverse gentle stir
  19. Prepare a clean sink
  20. Heat large saucepan while stirring occasionally - medium heat
  21. Drain TM5 bowl
  22. Transfer pasta to large saucepan
  23. Transfer cream to large saucepan
  24. Transfer cheese mixture to large saucepan
  25. Transfer content of medium bowl to large saucepan
  26. Stir thoroughly
  27. Reduce heat completely and cover
  28. Let rest - 5 min
  29. Garnish with parmesan cheese
  30. Serve
