The Best Little Snack at Christmas time that you can store in the fridge until drinky-o'clock! This stunning snack is also perfect for gifting.
- Milk chocolate60 gchopped
- Egg white1beaten
- Mixed nuts500 graw
- Pretzels175 g
- Pink himalayan salt flakes2 tablespoons
- Butter50 g
- Maple syrup50 g
- Dark brown sugar50 g
- Ground ginger1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper1 teaspoon
- Raisins40 g
Ingredients
- 1. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
- 2. Add mixed nuts to the baking sheet
- 3. Place into cold oven set to 200ºC and cook 8 minutes
- 4. Remove from oven
- 5. Whilst still warm, mix with pretzels and sprinkle generously with salt. Allow to cool
- 6. Add butter, maple syrup, dark brown sugar, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper to the TM5 bowl
- 7. Cook - approx 5 min, Varoma, speed 2
- 8. Beat egg white with a balloon whisk or other means
- 9. Add beaten egg white to Thermomix bowl
- 10. Blend with MC in place 5 sec/speed 6
- 11. Pour over nuts and pretzels. Stir to coat evenly
- 12. Return to the oven for 8 minutes
- 13. When you remove them from the oven, stir to break apart, you may need to use two trays to have them be separate
- 14. Wait until the mixture is fully cold
- 15. Transfer content of baking sheet to large serving bowl
- 16. Stir in milk chocolate and raisins to a clean large serving bowl
- 17. Serve
