This sweet Horchata is a refreshing dairy-free milky drink with a base of rice and cashew nuts. It's a traditional Mexican beverage with a hint of cinnamon that makes a great stand-in for a dairy-free smoothie or milkshake. Just soak rice and nuts overnight, then blend up in the morning. Serve over ice with a fruity garnish.

Step preview

  1. Add white rice, cashew nuts and water to the TM5 bowl
  2. Soak - approx 8 hr
  3. Add sesame seeds, coconut sugar, cinnamon stick and water to the TM5 bowl
  4. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  5. Blend - approx 2 min, speed 9
  6. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  7. Blend - approx 30 sec, speed 9
  8. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  9. Drain with sieve
  10. Serve with frozen strawberries
