When a Margarita and a granita want to get together for a party, this is what happens.

  • Pink himalayan salt flakes icon
    Pink himalayan salt flakesas needed
  • Lime icon

  • Caster sugar icon
    Caster sugar30 g
  • Ice icon

  • Silver tequila icon

  • Cointreau icon

  • Lime essential oil icon

    Method

  • 1. Pour pink salt flakes onto a plate
  • 2. Cut 1 lime in half and rub around the rim of the glasses, then dip the glasses into the salt
  • 3. Refrigerate in fridge - 5 min
  • 4. Add caster sugar to the TM5 bowl
  • 5. Blitz with MC in place 10 sec, speed 10
  • 6. Then add ice, silver tequila, cointreau, lime juice and 2 drops of lime essential oil (optionally) to the TM5 bowl
  • 7. Blend with MC in place 30 sec, speed 10
  • 8. Immediately pour into chilled glasses and serve with slice of lime
