The acid in the buttermilk breaks down the gluten in the flour and voila, you have amazingly Soft Buttermilk Rolls. Eat at your own peril, because one just isn't enough!

  • Bread flour icon

  • Buttermilk icon

  • Sea salt icon

    Method

  • 1. Add bread flour, sugar and buttermilk to the TM5 bowl
  • 2. Cook and let cool - approx 3 min, 80°C, speed 3
  • 3. Then add bread flour, sea salt, butter and buttermilk to the dough
  • 4. Mix - approx 10 sec, speed 6
  • 5. Then add dried yeast to the dough
  • 6. Mix - approx 4 min, dough
  • 7. Transfer dough to large mixing bowl
  • 8. Cover with kitchen towel
  • 9. Let rise until doubled
  • 10. Shape into balls
  • 11. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 12. Transfer dough balls to baking sheet
  • 13. Cover with kitchen towel until doubled
  • 14. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  • 15. Bake - 15 min, 180°C
  • 16. Serve immediately
