A lovely vanilla bean and pear-infused syrup makes for a delicately flavored vodka martini.

    150 g (about 1)sliced

    15 g (about 1 ⅛ tablespoons)

  • Granulated sugar icon

    200 g (about 1 cup)

    200 g (about ¾ cup)

  • Vodka icon

    55 g (about 3 ⅞ tablespoons)

  • Lemon icon

    8 g (about ¼)juice of

    METHOD


  • 1. Add pear, vanilla extract, granulated sugar and water to a clean saucepan
  • 2. Heat until boiling - high heat
  • 3. Simmer - 15 min
  • 4. Strain with sieve and set aside
  • 5. Add vodka and lemon to a clean cocktail shaker
  • 6. Add syrup to cocktail
  • 7. Fill with ice
  • 8. Shake vigorously
  • 9. Strain cocktail into cocktail glass
  • 10. Garnish with pear
