Hollandaise sauce is a brunch favorite, but it's also delicious on grilled vegetables and meats, roasted potatoes, and more.

    INGREDIENTS


  • Unsalted butter icon
    Unsalted butter

    100 g (about ½ cup)

  • Egg yolk icon
    Egg yolk

    2 (about 40 g)separated

  • Lemon icon

    1 tablespoon (about 11.4 g)juice of

  • Water icon
    Water

    1 tablespoon (about 15 g)cold

  • Salt & pepper icon
    Salt & pepper

    METHOD


  • 1. Add unsalted butter to a clean small glass bowl
  • 2. Melt - low heat
  • 3. Add egg yolk, lemon and water to a clean medium glass bowl
  • 4. Whisk together
  • 5. Place in double boiler
  • 6. Whisk vigorously until thick
  • 7. Add content of small glass bowl to eggs slowly
  • 8. Season with salt & pepper
  • 9. Serve immediately
