    METHOD


  • 1. Add quick-rise yeast, salt and plain flour to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Whisk until combined
  • 3. Add water to the dough
  • 4. Beat vigorously - approx 1 min
  • 5. Add olive oil to the dough
  • 6. Stir until combined
  • 7. Add plain flour to the dough
  • 8. Stir carefully until dough forms
  • 9. Turn out on lightly-floured surface
  • 10. Knead until elastic - 8 min
  • 11. Cover loosely with kitchen towel
  • 12. Let rest - 10 min
  • 13. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  • 14. Grease the clean baking sheets lightly with olive oil
  • 15. Divide dough evenly
  • 16. Shape
  • 17. Transfer dough to 2 baking sheets
  • 18. Sprinkle with poppy seeds
  • 19. Bake until golden brown - 20 min, 190°C
  • 20. Transfer onto cooling rack
