Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside dark chocolate: broken up
  2. Prep and set aside unsalted butter: cubed
  3. Prep and set aside fresh beetroot: peeled & quartered
  4. Prep and set aside egg
  5. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  6. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  7. Get a clean heatproof bowl
  8. Add pitted dates
  9. Add boiling water
  10. Soak - 15 min
  11. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  12. Sift buckwheat flour
  13. Add baking powder
  14. Add ground almonds
  15. Grease a clean square pan
  16. Line with parchment paper
  17. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  18. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  19. Add prepared dark chocolate
  20. Add prepared unsalted butter
  21. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  22. Heat with filler cap removed until completely melted - 4 min 30 sec, 60°C, speed 3
  23. Transfer content of kCook bowl to small bowl
  24. Clean kCook bowl
  25. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  26. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  27. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  28. Grate prepared fresh beetroot with direct prep attachment
  29. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  30. Transfer soaked fruit to kCook bowl
  31. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  32. Blend with filler cap fitted - 10 sec, speed 12
  33. Mix with filler cap removed until completely mixed - 1 min, speed 5
  34. Add prepared egg gradually while machine is running
  35. Add vanilla extract while blending
  36. Add maple syrup while machine is running
  37. Transfer chocolate mixture to kCook bowl
  38. Blend with filler cap removed - 1 min, speed 5
  39. Transfer dry ingredients to kCook bowl gradually while machine is running
  40. Pre-heat - 180°C
  41. Transfer content of kCook bowl to square pan
  42. Bake - 25 min, 180°C
  43. Add flaked almonds
  44. Let cool - approx 25 min
  45. Slice
  46. Serve
