This is a very easy to do pie. The mix taste between sweet and salty will surprise everyone who try it.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry icon

    2 (2400g)
  • Olive oil icon

    1 tbsp (about 15ml)
  • Bacon icon
    Bacon
    x 9 (about 250g)
  • Dates icon
    Dates
    1¾ cups (about 250g)
  • Egg icon

    1 (50g)

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat - 220°C
  2. Add puff pastry to a clean baking sheet
  3. Brush with olive oil lightly
  4. Layer with bacon and dates into a rectangle
  5. Cover with puff pastry carefully
  6. Assemble
  7. Brush with egg
  8. Bake until golden brown - 30 min, 200°C
