This is a very easy to do pie. The mix taste between sweet and salty will surprise everyone who try it.

  • Puff pastry icon
    Puff pastry2
  • Olive oil icon
    Olive oil1 tablespoon
  • Bacon icon
    Bacon250 gsliced
  • Dates icon
    Dates250 gpitted, halved
  • Egg icon
    Egg1beaten
    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C / 390°F
  • 2. Add puff pastry to a clean baking sheet
  • 3. Brush with olive oil lightly
  • 4. Layer with bacon and dates into a rectangle
  • 5. Place the second puff pastry on top to cover
  • 6. Pinch the two layers of pastry together, you can help with a fork
  • 7. Brush with egg
  • 8. Bake until golden brown - 30 min, 200°C / 390°F
