    METHOD


  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  • 2. Line 2 clean baking sheets with parchment paper
  • 3. Add unsalted butter and granulated sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Cream together until smooth
  • 5. Add egg to the dough and mix
  • 6. Add plain flour, baking powder and poppy seeds to a clean medium bowl
  • 7. Whisk until blended
  • 8. Add dry ingredients to dough
  • 9. Add lemon to the dough
  • 10. Mix until just combined
  • 11. Scoop dough onto 2 baking sheets
  • 12. Bake until golden brown - 12 min, 170°C
  • 13. Let cool until firm - 5 min
  • 14. Transfer onto cooling rack
