Ingredients

  • Plain flour icon

    140g (about 1⅛ cups)
  • Egg icon

    4 (200g)
  • Milk icon
    Milk
    200ml (¾ cup)
  • Lard icon

    6 tsp (26g)
  • Salt & pepper icon

    1 pinch

Step preview

  1. Add plain flour to a clean jug
  2. Form a well
  3. Add egg to the jug
  4. Whisk
  5. Add milk to the jug
  6. Whisk until combined
  7. Refrigerate in fridge - 30 min
  8. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  9. Add lard to a clean muffin pan
  10. Heat oven - 10 min, 220°C
  11. Add salt & pepper to the jug
  12. Whisk briefly
  13. Transfer content of jug to muffin pan quickly
  14. Cook until light golden - 15 min, 220°C
