    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C / 355°F
  • 2. Add plain flour, caster sugar, baking powder, egg, vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 3. Mix until smooth then set aside
  • 4. Add butter to a clean frying pan
  • 5. Melt - medium heat
  • 6. Add dulce de leche to the frying pan
  • 7. Boil - medium heat
  • 8. Transfer caramel to round pan
  • 9. Cover with apple
  • 10. Pour batter into cake
  • 11. Bake and let cool - 25 min, 180°C / 355°F
  • 12. Turn out upside down
  • 13. Add butter and dulce de leche to a clean ramekin
  • 14. Heat - 10 sec, high heat
  • 15. Stir with teaspoon until smooth
  • 16. Drizzle on top of the cake
