    Method

  • 1. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 2. Add plain flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt to a clean medium bowl
  • 3. Whisk briefly until blended
  • 4. Add dark chocolate to a clean medium glass bowl
  • 5. Melt in double boiler then set aside
  • 6. Add unsalted butter, light brown sugar and vanilla extract to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 7. Cream together
  • 8. Add egg and milk to the dough
  • 9. Mix until combined
  • 10. Transfer chocolate mixture to dough
  • 11. Mix gently until combined
  • 12. Transfer dry ingredients to dough bit by bit while mixing
  • 13. Chill in fridge - 1 hr
  • 14. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  • 15. Add granulated sugar and powdered sugar to a clean small bowl and mix
  • 16. Scoop dough into balls and roll in sugar until well covered
  • 17. Arrange balls on baking sheet
  • 18. Bake - 14 min
  • 19. Transfer onto cooling rack
