Hash browns come in all shapes and sizes. These are fried into small, crispy rounds and are delicious as a breakfast side dish!

    INGREDIENTS


  • Potato icon
    Potato

    500 g (about 3)grated

  • Onion icon
    Onion

    80 g (about ½)finely sliced

  • Unsalted butter icon
    Unsalted butter

    15 g (about 1 tablespoons)

  • Salt & pepper icon
    Salt & pepper

  • Rapeseed oil icon
    Rapeseed oil

    METHOD


  • 1. Add potato to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Salt generously then set aside
  • 3. Let rest - 20 min
  • 4. Squeeze with kitchen towel
  • 5. Add onion to the potatoes
  • 6. Add unsalted butter to a clean small glass bowl
  • 7. Melt
  • 8. Transfer content of small glass bowl to potatoes
  • 9. Season with salt & pepper
  • 10. Mix well
  • 11. Add rapeseed oil to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  • 12. Form potatoes
  • 13. Fry until golden brown
  • 14. Drain with paper towels
  • 15. Serve immediately
