    METHOD


  • 1. Add all purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Whisk briefly until blended
  • 3. Add buttermilk, egg and vanilla extract to the batter
  • 4. Mix until just combined
  • 5. Add unsalted butter to a clean small bowl
  • 6. Melt
  • 7. Mix content of small bowl into batter
  • 8. Fry in frying pan - medium heat
  • 9. Serve immediately
