    METHOD


  • 1. Prepare a clean round pan with parchment paper
  • 2. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  • 3. Add salted butter and granulated sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Cream together until smooth
  • 5. Add egg to the batter one by one while mixing
  • 6. Add all purpose flour, ground almonds, baking powder, milk and vanilla extract to the batter
  • 7. Mix until just combined
  • 8. Get a clean medium bowl
  • 9. Transfer half of batter to medium bowl
  • 10. Add cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture
  • 11. Mix until just combined
  • 12. Transfer batter to round pan
  • 13. Swirl
  • 14. Bake until skewer tests clean - 45 min, 175°C
  • 15. Let cool
