Microwave Salmon with Sriracha Mayo

Tender, flaky salmon in five minutes, start to finish. The microwave is an excellent method of cooking salmon as it helps it retain its moisture, without drying out. If you’re not a fan of mayo, try spreading pesto instead and serving with a squeeze of lemon.

Step preview

  1. Rinse salmon filet with cold water and pat dry
  2. Add salmon filet to a clean plate skin side down
  3. Season with salt & pepper then set aside
  4. Combine mayonnaise and sriracha sauce with a clean small bowl
  5. Generously spread the mayonnaise mixture on top of the fillet
  6. Add lemon and fresh parsley to the plate
  7. Cover the dish tightly with microwave safe plastic wrap
  8. Heat in microwave - 3 min 30 sec, high heat
  9. Check the center of the filet for doneness with a fork
  10. If there is any uncooked fish, microwave for another 30-45 seconds
  11. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges
  12. Serve immediately
