A single-serving chocolate mug cake that you could be eating minutes from now. This egg-free cake has a gooey-moist texture, which you can firm up with an extra 30 seconds in the microwave if you like less lava in your lava-cake! This mug cake is best served immediately with a tablespoon-sized scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  1. Add butter to a clean mug
  2. Heat in microwave until melted
  3. Add water, vanilla extract and salt to the mug
  4. Stir with tablespoon until smooth
  5. Add white sugar, all purpose flour and cocoa powder to the mug
  6. Stir with tablespoon until smooth
  7. Cook in microwave - 40 sec, high heat
  8. If you want less "lava" and more cake you can cook it for 10 seconds more
  9. You may have to adjust the cooking time since all microwaves cook at different speeds
  10. Serve immediately
