The perfect dairy free, gluten free shake to start of any morning or after school. Serve chilled for best flavor.

  • Brown rice icon
    Brown rice

    200 g (about 1 cup)

  • Water icon
    Water

    1.1 kg (about 4 ½ cups)

  • Strawberries icon
    Strawberries

    250 g (about 20 ¾)

  • Vanilla bean paste icon
    Vanilla bean paste

    2 teaspoons (about 11 g)

  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt

    1 pinch

  • Maple syrup icon
    Maple syrup

    50 g (about 2 ⅜ tablespoons)

    METHOD


  • 1. Add brown rice to the simmering basket
  • 2. Rinse with water
  • 3. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  • 4. Steam rice and let cool - approx 30 min, 100°C, speed 4
  • 5. Drain TM5 bowl
  • 6. Transfer rice to TM5 bowl
  • 7. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  • 8. Blend - approx 2 min, speed 10
  • 9. Strain with muslin cloth
  • 10. Return
  • 11. Add strawberries, vanilla bean paste, sea salt, maple syrup and water to the TM5 bowl
  • 12. Blend - approx 30 sec, speed 10
  • 13. Serve
