Make the most of blackberry season with this thick, sweet blackberry and apple preserves. Spread on toast or add generous dollops to your morning porridge.

    METHOD


  • 1. Get a clean slow cooker bowl
  • 2. Add cooking apple, granulated sugar, lemon, lemon juice and blackberries to the slow cooker bowl and cover
  • 3. Cook in slow cooker while stirring occasionally - 4 hr 30 min, high heat
  • 4. Warm 4 clean jars - low heat
  • 5. Spoon jam into 4 jars
  • 6. Let cool
  • 7. Store in fridge
