This deep-red tomato sauce is pretty darn good on almost anything that requires sauce.

  • Red onion icon

    25 g (about 1 ⅞ tablespoons)

  • Garlic clove icon

    4 (about 24 g)

  • Red wine icon

    120 ml (about ½ cup)

  • Canned tomatoes icon

    800 g (about 2)

  • Fennel seeds icon

    1 teaspoon (about 2 g)

  • Sea salt icon

    ½ teaspoon (about 3 g)

  • Black pepper icon

  • Coconut sugar icon

    2 teaspoons (about 8 g)

    METHOD


  • 1. Add extra virgin olive oil, red onion and garlic clove to the TM5 bowl
  • 2. Chop - approx 3 sec, speed 5
  • 3. Then add red wine to the TM5 bowl
  • 4. Cook - approx 10 min, Varoma, speed 1
  • 5. Then add canned tomatoes, fennel seeds, sea salt and black pepper to the TM5 bowl
  • 6. Cook - approx 20 min, 100°C, speed 1
  • 7. Season to taste
  • 8. Add coconut sugar to the TM5 bowl
  • 9. Stir - approx 10 sec, gentle stir
  • 10. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to small bowl
  • 11. Garnish with fresh basil
