There are few things as comforting as a fish pie and this simple version is extra creamy and cheesy.

    METHOD


  • 1. Add milk, cake flour and butter to a clean large saucepan
  • 2. Heat until boiling - medium heat
  • 3. Whisk quickly until thick - approx 2 min
  • 4. Add cheddar cheese and blue cheese to the cheese mixture
  • 5. Stir until melted then set aside
  • 6. Add cornstarch and salt & pepper to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 7. Coat
  • 8. Add fennel bulb, green peppercorns, leek, dill, fresh parsley and salt to a clean food processor bowl
  • 9. Blend until fine
  • 10. Transfer content of food processor bowl to glass baking dish
  • 11. Add prawns and whitefish filet to the glass baking dish
  • 12. Get
  • 13. Mix in slightly
  • 14. Add peas to the glass baking dish
  • 15. Transfer half of cheese mixture to glass baking dish
  • 16. Spread loosely
  • 17. Layer with potato
  • 18. Transfer cheese mixture to glass baking dish
  • 19. Spread
  • 20. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
  • 21. Bake until light golden - 30 min, 221°C
  • 22. Bake until cooked through - 30 min, 179°C
  • 23. Let cool
  • 24. Serve
