I am pretty sure that this could replace traditional mash at any time!! It is SO good. You will be addicted. You have been warned. Make sure you soak your chickpeas overnight the day before!

    INGREDIENTS


  • Dried chickpeas icon
    Dried chickpeas

    250 g (about 1 ¼ cups)soaked, drained

  • Water icon
    Water

  • Garlic clove icon

    6 (about 36 g)

  • Butter icon

    50 g (about 3 ½ tablespoons)

  • Single cream icon

    300 g (about 1 ¼ cups)

  • Sea salt icon

  • Black pepper icon

  • Parmesan cheese icon

    METHOD


  • 1. Add dried chickpeas to the simmering basket
  • 2. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  • 3. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  • 4. Cook - approx 30 min, 90°C, speed 3
  • 5. Drain
  • 6. Add garlic clove and butter to the TM5 bowl
  • 7. Chop - approx 3 sec, speed 5
  • 8. Sauté - approx 5 min, Varoma, speed 1
  • 9. Transfer chickpeas to TM5 bowl
  • 10. Add single cream, sea salt and black pepper to the TM5 bowl
  • 11. Cook - approx 5 min, 100°C, reverse speed 2
  • 12. Blend - approx 30 sec, speed 8
  • 13. Then top with parmesan cheese
  • 14. Serve immediately
