Orecchiette Pasta with Italian Sausage and Sage

This super fast family pasta dish is fantastic for hungry people at a moments notice. Add flavours at will, think fennel seeds, more herbs, cheese!

  • Bulb of garlic icon

    1 (about 110 g)

    ¼ cup (about 8 g)

  • Soft goat cheese icon

    100 g (about ½ cup)

    METHOD


  • 1. Add water and salt to a clean large saucepan
  • 2. Boil
  • 3. Add pasta shells to the large saucepan
  • 4. Cook until al dente
  • 5. Add sausage and bulb of garlic to the TM5 bowl
  • 6. Chop - approx 8 sec, reverse speed 8
  • 7. Cook - approx 15 min, Varoma, speed 2
  • 8. Add butter to a clean frying pan
  • 9. Heat in frying pan - medium heat
  • 10. Melt until lightly browned while stirring occasionally
  • 11. Add fresh sage to the frying pan
  • 12. Fry in frying pan until crispy
  • 13. Drain with paper towels
  • 14. Sprinkle with sea salt
  • 15. Drain large saucepan
  • 16. Transfer content of large saucepan to 4 large serving bowls
  • 17. Transfer sausage mixture to 4 large serving bowls
  • 18. Transfer herbs to 4 large serving bowls
  • 19. Crumble soft goat cheese over the large serving bowls
  • 20. Serve
