  • Garlic clove icon

    2 (about 12 g)finely sliced

  • Farfalle icon

    400 g (about 4 ¾ cups)

  • Olive oil icon

    2 tablespoons (about 27.3 g)

  • Tomato purée icon
    Tomato purée

    500 ml (about 550 g)

  • Salt & pepper icon

  • Unsalted butter icon
    Unsalted butter

    25 g (about 1 ¾ tablespoons)

  • Parmesan cheese icon

    METHOD


  • 1. Add water and salt to a clean large saucepan
  • 2. Boil
  • 3. Add farfalle to the pasta
  • 4. Cook until al dente
  • 5. Drain then set aside
  • 6. Add olive oil to a clean large saucepan
  • 7. Heat - low heat
  • 8. Add garlic clove to the large saucepan
  • 9. Cook gently - 30 sec, low heat
  • 10. Add tomato purée to the large saucepan and bring to a boil
  • 11. Season with salt & pepper
  • 12. Simmer - 5 min, low heat
  • 13. Remove and turn off heat
  • 14. Transfer pasta to large saucepan
  • 15. Add unsalted butter to the large saucepan
  • 16. Toss with slotted spoon until melted
  • 17. Serve with parmesan cheese
