Sweet, sticky and indulgent, this simple dessert is perfect with a dollop of cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  • Banana icon

    2 (about 240 g)sliced

  • Light brown sugar icon

    150 g (about ¾ cup)

    25 g (about 1 ¾ tablespoons)

  • Puff pastry icon

    METHOD


  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  • 2. Add light brown sugar and water to a clean frying pan
  • 3. Heat in frying pan until caramelized
  • 4. Add butter to the caramel carefully
  • 5. Lay out puff pastry a clean work surface
  • 6. Cut out
  • 7. Transfer pastry to baking sheet
  • 8. Arrange banana in the pastry
  • 9. Spoon three quarters of caramel into pastry
  • 10. Bake until just cooked - 15 min, 220°C
  • 11. Drizzle pastry with caramel
  • 12. Serve
