Smoky Bacon with whipped eggs and cream, how could you go wrong? Absolutely couldn’t...are you with me? Cue the crackers.

  • Bacon icon
    Bacon

    100 g (about 3 ½)

  • Smoked paprika icon
    Smoked paprika

    2 teaspoons (about 4 g)

  • Egg icon

    4 (about 200 g)

  • Water icon

    500 ml (about 2 cups)

  • Scallion icon
    Scallion

    2 (about 30 g)

  • Cilantro icon

  • Garlic clove icon

    2 (about 12 g)

  • Crème fraîche icon
    Crème fraîche

    200 g (about ¾ cup)

  • Salt & pepper icon

    METHOD


  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  • 2. Line a clean baking pan with parchment paper
  • 3. Add bacon to the baking pan
  • 4. Dust with smoked paprika
  • 5. Bake until crispy - 30 min, 160°C
  • 6. Add egg to the simmering basket
  • 7. Add water to the TM5 bowl
  • 8. Steam - approx 15 min, 100°C, speed 4
  • 9. Drain
  • 10. Peel eggs
  • 11. Add scallion, cilantro and garlic clove to the TM5 bowl
  • 12. Chop - approx 3 sec, speed 5
  • 13. Transfer eggs to TM5 bowl
  • 14. Transfer three quarters of bacon to TM5 bowl
  • 15. Blend - approx 10 sec, speed 8
  • 16. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  • 17. Add crème fraîche to the TM5 bowl
  • 18. Blend - approx 10 sec, speed 10
  • 19. Transfer bacon to TM5 bowl
  • 20. Season with salt & pepper
  • 21. Serve
