These healthier pancakes are a mash-up of two breakfast favorites, together at last! Get creative and serve them with chocolate chips, orange zest, nuts, raisins, maple syrup... whatever you like in your porrid...

    230 g (about 1 ½ cups)

    60 g (about ½ cup)

    7.5 g (about 1 ½ teaspoons)

    ¼ teaspoon (about 1.5 g)

    250 ml (about 250 g)

    30 g (about 1 ⅜ tablespoons)

  • Egg yolk icon

    15 ml (about 13.8 g)melted

    METHOD


  • 1. Add egg white to a clean medium bowl
  • 2. Whisk until stiff then set aside
  • 3. Add oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt to a clean medium bowl
  • 4. Blend until fine then set aside
  • 5. Add milk, honey, egg yolk and coconut oil to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 6. Whisk briefly
  • 7. Stir oat mixture into batter
  • 8. Fold egg whites into batter gently
  • 9. Fry - medium heat
  • 10. Serve immediately
