    INGREDIENTS


  • Onion icon

    2 (about 280 g)peeled, halved

  • Extra virgin olive oil icon
    Extra virgin olive oil

    ¼ cup (about 60 ml)

  • Shallot icon

    2 (about 84 g)

  • Butter icon

    50 g (about 3 ½ tablespoons)

  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce icon
    Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

    2 tablespoons (about 28 g)

  • Sea salt icon
    Sea salt

    1 pinch

  • Cream cheese icon
    Cream cheese

    120 g (about ½ cup)

  • Sour cream icon
    Sour cream

    200 g (about ¾ cup)

    METHOD


  • 1. Pre-heat a clean frying pan - medium-high heat
  • 2. Add extra virgin olive oil and shallot to the frying pan
  • 3. Fry in frying pan until crispy - approx 10 min
  • 4. Transfer content of frying pan to small bowl
  • 5. Add butter, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, onion and sea salt to the TM5 bowl
  • 6. Chop - approx 4 sec, speed 4
  • 7. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  • 8. Sauté - approx 15 min, Varoma, reverse speed 1
  • 9. Cook - approx 15 min, 100°C, speed 1
  • 10. Let cool
  • 11. Add cream cheese and sour cream to the TM5 bowl
  • 12. Blend - approx 4 sec, speed 5
  • 13. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to large serving bowl
  • 14. Spoon onions into mixture
  • 15. Serve
