Method
1. Add milk, heavy cream, vanilla seeds & pod and salt to a clean saucepan
2. Heat
3. Remove and set aside - 30 min
4. Add egg yolk and white sugar to a clean medium bowl
5. Whisk well until thick
6. Strain one third of mixture into eggs
7. Mix in the rest of mixture to eggs
8. Transfer eggs to saucepan
9. Heat gently until thick
10. Transfer mixture to medium bowl
11. Let cool completely
12. Transfer in ice cream maker
13. Churn in ice cream maker
