Cooking doesn’t get much easier than this. Pillowy gnocchi needs nothing more than a classic sage and pine nut butter to create an indulgent meal in minutes. Sprinkle over plenty of freshly grated Parmesan and add a green salad to complete the meal.

Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside parmesan cheese: grated
  2. Get a clean large saucepan
  3. Add water
  4. Add salt lightly
  5. Boil
  6. Add gnocchi
  7. Cook for approx 3min and continue
  8. Get a clean frying pan
  9. Add unsalted butter
  10. Heat on medium heat until foamy
  11. Add fresh sage
  12. Add pine nuts
  13. Cook for approx 1min until golden brown
  14. Drain pasta
  15. Transfer pasta to frying pan
  16. Toss until combined
  17. Serve
  18. Sprinkle with prepared parmesan cheese
  19. Season with freshly ground black pepper generously
