Popovers are made from just five ingredients - eggs, milk, butter, flour and salt - but the batter puffs up to astonishingly high domes.

  • Unsalted butter icon

    METHOD


  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 191°C
  • 2. Grease a clean muffin pan
  • 3. Add unsalted butter to a clean small bowl
  • 4. Heat until melted - Power Level 3
  • 5. Add egg and milk to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 6. Beat until frothy
  • 7. Transfer content of small bowl to batter
  • 8. Beat until blended
  • 9. Add salt to a clean small bowl
  • 10. Add all purpose flour to the dry ingredients and mix
  • 11. Transfer dry ingredients to batter and continue mixing
  • 12. Spoon batter into muffin pan
  • 13. Bake - 50 min
  • 14. Cut quickly
  • 15. Bake - 10 min
  • 16. Remove immediately
